  1. The brief

    A mentor wanted to bring together the French-speaking West African entrepreneurs he was coaching: a private community, his courses sold one at a time, ready-to-use resources, and a monthly challenge with rewards for the most active members.

    All of it had to be paid for simply — a subscription for access, one-off purchases for the courses — with payment methods that fit the market.

  2. What I shipped

    IziMentor, an ecosystem in a single space:

    • a private community, open around the clock, with personal feedback and group reviews;
    • a catalogue of courses bought one at a time — WordPress, video editing, YouTube, sales funnels, AI — each with its price;
    • templates and ready-to-use resources;
    • monthly challenges, and a pool paid out every month to the most active members;
    • a network of opportunities: gigs, collaborations, clients.

    Access on a six-month or yearly subscription, cancellable before renewal.

  3. The hard part

    Making three ways of paying live in one account: a recurring subscription for access, one-off purchases for courses, and monthly rewards flowing out of the platform to members. Each has its own cycle, failures and rules — a lapsed subscription must not take away a purchased course, and a reward must go out exactly once.

    The answer is a single ledger of what each member owns and owes, from which everything else follows: what they see, what they are charged, what they are paid.

  4. The outcome

    A platform where the mentor publishes a course, opens a challenge and watches the community live without keeping the books by hand — and where a member keeps what they bought, subscribed or not.
