  1. The brief

    A coach running a launch keeps sign-ups in WhatsApp groups: capped at 1,025 people, fifteen groups for fifteen thousand sign-ups, reminders pasted by hand at midnight, and nobody knows who actually saw the message.

    They needed a one-way feed, written by the organiser alone, that sign-ups join from a link without a password — and where the reminders go out on their own.

  2. What I shipped

    WebiGram, a launch platform with two sides:

    • for sign-ups, a mobile app — and the same feed on the web — with the messages, reactions and launch details;
    • for the coach, a web app to schedule messages at D-7, D-3, D-1, H-1, run polls, manage the list, import and export sign-ups;
    • push notifications sent at the real start, not the announced time; the replay sent one way to absentees and another to attendees;
    • lists that build themselves — absentees, attendees without a purchase, the silent ones — and Zoom, YouTube Live and StreamYard integrations.

    A free account, fees that start with the first launch, and tiers by number of sign-ups up to one hundred thousand.

  3. The hard part

    The worker that holds the queue of scheduled messages and sends push notifications at scale. Five thousand sign-ups notified in one send means thousands of calls to Apple and Google within seconds, expiring tokens, phones switched off, and an organiser pushing the start back ten minutes while the queue is going out.

    The rule: a scheduled message is a fact, not an intention — it goes out once, exactly once, even if the worker restarts halfway; and it goes out at the true moment, the actual start, not the time written the night before. A persistent queue, idempotent sends, batches that resume where they stopped.

  4. The outcome

    Launches where the coach schedules the reminders on Sunday evening and never touches them again, where sign-ups land in the feed from an ad in one click, and where absentees get the replay without anyone sorting the list by hand.
